Karatekin University is located in a socioeconomically developed region since it is located very close to the capital, Ankara. Our university was established on a large area in the Uluyazı region. The university has a modern campus with social facilities such as dormitory, gym, and canteen. Çankırı Karatekin University Civil Engineering Department is located within the Uluyazı Campus Engineering Faculty. Our department, established in 2018, continues education life with its local and foreign students. Our department aims to train civil engineers are sufficient and qualified in their profession for the construction sector, locomotive of our country`s economy, by providing education at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Civil engineer is an expert who deals with the design, construction and maintenance of all kinds of buildings such as dams, airports, bridges, roads, ports, sewers, water networks, tunnels, railways, high-speed train projects, metros, etc. Civil engineers are called "civilization engineers" because of the wide area they are interested in and the valuable duty they undertake in urbanization. Today, technology is developing at an unprecedented pace, and civil engineering is affected by these developments. Developments in areas such as machine learning, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence directly affect the construction industry. Every day, equipment, materials and programs used in construction are developed and adapted to today`s technology. Our department educates its students as expert individuals who can follow and apply current technological developments in their field.

Our students who have successfully completed 4 years of education and graduated with an undergraduate degree; either can work as a civil engineer in various fields in the sector or continue their education process with postgraduate programs in various civil engineering divisions. Our students who have successfully completed the master program, can continue their professional life as individuals with the title of certified engineer. 

Despite its new establishment, our department has received a high demand from domestic and international students around the world so that it offers an international education environment and continues its education process determinedly.
